- directly from you, for example when you contact us, sign up for updates, create an account, upload an avatar, or use the Service;
- automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website or Service; and

- consent, where you opt in to newsletters or accept non-essential cookies;
- legitimate interests, where processing is necessary to improve, secure, and operate the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and
- legal obligation, where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law or regulation.
6. Payments and Paddle
All payments are handled through Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for purchases made through Paddle.
When you make a purchase, billing and transaction information may be collected and processed by Paddle in accordance with Paddle’s own privacy notice and legal obligations. We may receive limited transaction and subscription information from Paddle as needed to manage access to the Service, customer support, refunds, and related records.

- diagnostic or monitoring technologies used to detect and investigate errors and performance issues.
In line with ICO guidance, we aim to obtain consent before placing or using non-essential cookies or similar technologies. This means analytics and similar optional technologies should not be activated unless you choose to accept them. You can also update your preferences later using our consent tools where available.

We use tools such as Sentry to help us monitor errors, performance issues, and service reliability.
Depending on configuration and the nature of the issue, diagnostic data may include technical details such as device/browser information, pages visited, timestamps, request metadata, and error details. However, some of our service providers may process personal data outside the UK or EEA. Where that happens, we take steps intended to ensure an appropriate level of protection, such as relying on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
12. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
In general:
